Well, the newest and biggest item of news this time around is that we have a Guest of Honour...mmm…or, one might better put it, we have THE Guest of Honour. I doubt that the big lettering down the page has escaped you, but Harry Harrison is to be G.O.H. at the BRUMCON 2. I'm sure he’ll make us a fine G.O.H. The committee are sure he'll make a fine G.O.H., everybody who knows him, or saw him at the Petercon is sure...and if I've missed anyone out thats too bad, kids, yer 'aven't lived til yev met THE Harry Harrison.

But more of that anon. (I've been waiting to use that phrase for ages) actually it'll be more anon than you think. This BRUMBLE is so late that it'll be early for next year. I'm not sure there will be another one out. The next item will be when we send the booking forms around. The committee has had a look around the hotel and had a talk with one of the under managers. We have to finalise the booking form now with the Manager himself...shouldn't take Iong...and then get the thing run off and distributed...probably we'll send you a map of the immediate area of the hotel too.

Programme. We have this fairly well set up, all we have to do now is to freeze everything into place and print the programme booklet. Mike Higgs is doing the booklet for us.

This Sunday, 15th Nov, we should clear up all the bits and pieces.

In the next BRUMBLE…mmm, so it looks like there'll have to be another...we'll send around the Doc Weir voting forms , the Art Show info, if we can fix it up this w./e., prices of fan and pro adverts in the convention booklet etc.

Oh, KEN SLATER, a fairly decent sized room is available right by the hall, which should suit you.
