Everytime I think I've uncovered everything there is to know about this convention something else turns up.
Ken Slater kept a couple of cartoon panels from the con, drawn by Ken McIntyre, that would have been
mounted on a wall. Earlier this month (December 2024) I was sent photos of these by Ken Slater's daughter
Susie.
Here's a detail from it: 
I assume this is the first time McIntyre produced one of these, but it wouldn't be the last. The 1959 UK national convention saw the appearance of 'The First BSFA Contoon' (see below). They now had a name, but whether he produced anymore is unknown.
